MP has worked in the Salt Lake Valley since 2007. What started as lawn care is now mostly complete yards — and the reason the business exists hasn’t changed.

Why we do it
MP employs young men who are working toward missions. They earn their own way, and along the way they pick up the things that are hard to teach anywhere else: showing up at seven, running a plate compactor, talking to a homeowner about a change order, and finishing something they started.
It means the money you were going to spend on your yard anyway does a second job on the way through. You get the yard either way. This way somebody gets built alongside it.
It also means our crews skew young and our foremen do a lot of teaching. We have made our peace with that trade: it is slower to train people than to hire them already trained, and it is the entire point.
How we work
One crew per job, start to finish. The people who dig the first shovel are usually still there when the last plant goes in, and Jason is the person you talk to the whole way through.
We walk your yard before we price it, and we put the price in writing. If the number is more than you want to spend, we tell you what we would phase or trim. Surprise charges are the most common way these projects go wrong, and we would rather have the honest conversation up front.
We do the parts nobody will ever see properly — packing the base under a patio, setting footings under a wall, running the sprinkler lines right. That hidden work is what decides how your yard looks in ten years.
